Sound Occasions Las Vegas, Nevada    (702) 658-5292       Privacy Policy 2009
For a successful Dance Party, we have observed a few things over the years and are happy to pass this information along to
you.
ROOM SIZE
  • Do not oversize the room. Just making things cozy can create atmosphere. If the room is too large people feel inhibited
and insecure. If you find your room is too big, plan for a wall (pipe and drape or balloons or trees for example) or some
kind of enclosure to give a feeling of intimacy.
TABLES
  • Round Tables are the best kind for interaction, you can talk with everyone there. With a long "head table" you can only
speak with the person on either side of you and with Teens and Kids, this is a recipe for disaster since in frustration
they may begin to throw items across the table to get someones attention.
DANCE FLOOR
  • See to it that the dance floor is not too far away from the tables and the DJ is nearby as well. The further your
entertainment is from the dance floor the louder it has to be to get to the floor and you want the music at an energized
level that you can still talk over.
  • Please don’t place a buffet or other utility tables between dance floor and guests, and no guests between your DJ and
dance floor. If guests have to work at getting to the floor many will opt not to go at all.
LIGHTING
  • Your room needs to be able to dim the lights. there are some venues that have NEON lights that wont dim for security
purposes. Find out where they are located and put your dance floor in the darker side of this room so we can provide
you with a great light show.
INVITATIONS
  • Don't forget to include the dress code on the invitations. Most people feel better knowing this in advance, this can be
potential embarrassment for your guest and you feel guilty too.
EXTRA VENDORS
  • If you are thinking of adding any extra vendors, for example.. Character Artists, Magicians, Rhinestone artists, Tattoo's or
special Photography booths, consider starting them at the cocktail hour and have enough personnel to get it done in
the first two hours so you can have everyone dancing together at the last half of your party. Otherwise,  make
arrangements with them to be able to shut down during ceremonies and presentations.

Also a quick note…. We do not provide Dance floors, Candelabras or backdrops. We are happy to put you in touch with the best
companies that do !
